I was fortunate enough to take the same ride in the same engine about five years ago (actually the ride was a bit longer). Got on at Ocotillo, moving stored hoppers to Plaster City, went back to Dos Cabezas and picked up another cut of hoppers and moved them to Plaster City, then back to Jacumba. However we departed Plaster City the last time at 0200 hours, and arrived at Jacumba at about 0530 or 0600. But it was a full moon. Beautiful!! Only bad thing was that is was early Spring, with the temperatures getting near freezing, and the cab heaters in the F-unit didn't work. Brrrrrr! (I know, I'm a candy from San Diego and to most people 35 really isn't all that cold).
