Timesaver - that's the one......and I was recommending it to Gord for his lighter polishing needs, not for the heavy rust work in Alaska. that's a flapwheel and kerosene job for sure.

In any of these rusty/ ploish the axle situations - I would never even start until the area has been soaking with Kano Laboratories "Kroil" or "Penephite" spray. This product is an iron oxide solvent and will give you clean metal with no rust if you give it a couple days to soak. Then you are just polishing the pitted metal. Available only direct from the factory in Nashville. 800-311-3374. It is also an excellent polishing/honing lubricant - the "Penephite" contains micro-fine graphite as it's lubricant. Excellent product!
