Well, another year, so we're back at Independence Day, and a very special one at that.

Sticking with the theme, here's a look back at more of the specially painted motive power from the celebrations in 1976, specifically of CRI&P E8A #652, in Chicago, on Friday, May 14th, 1976, taken by Jim Claflin.

(It was worth bringing this thread back up to the top for obvious reasons, but the website was dreadfully slow earlier today, so couldn't get through to find this until now).
