The road they were on is near me. They were following their GPS and it was later determined that someone else actually removed the barricades. The local sheriff has vowed if he finds out who did it, they will be charged with involuntary manslaughter.

A friend of mine in my hometown of Salters, SC reported that the first CSX train since Monday went through town about 20 minutes ago, moving VERY slowly.

The Black River level has now fallen to only 14.8 feet, down from its high of 22.34 feet, compared to the previous record of 19.8 feet in 1973.

Apparently CSX is more confident in their bridgework than the SCDOT is. Both major highway bridges (US 52 and SC 377) across the Black River south of Kingstree remain closed pending inspection by divers, and the divers can't go down until the water velocity subsides further.
