Very cool, looking great. That's quite the impressive operation.

Not sure I've ever seen a locomotive so new that it's still shrink wrapped!

And isn't it nice that they have examples of both the summer and winter cabs to show visitors? No place else except the B&O museum has that that I can think of off the top of my head.......

Pictures from 11/7/15.

Running boards and cab panels are in primer in the foreground.

Back of the tank with it's first coat of varnish.

You can see the difference between the flat black on the tank side and varnish on the rear.

Inside of the tank. Some of the new interior tank braces are sitting on the floor.

Pictures around the engine.

Vacuum ejector for the brake system.

Vacuum pots for the brakes were installed and brake plumbing done a couple weeks ago. The plumbing and pots were then removed for paint.

She looks to be at the point where every nut tightened or ounce of varnish applied boosts the excitement level exponentially...

She's looking great! Simply beautiful. Pretty nice for a "barn find"!

We had to move 9 out of the machine shop for some work today. Number 10 was parked behind 9 so 10 came along for the ride. The white around the windows is masking tape.

Bear in mind how long this took, how much machining, casting, and rebuilding of parts went into the process, and how the organization stood behind decisions and compromise to get her finished.
There is a strong lesson in the WW&F operations for every other operating railroad museum.

Well done. I hope to see her on the Christmas train.
