Always remember, folks, if you split a room with 2 double beds, then the Havey is only $50 per person.

As for last year's host picking up the tab...are you kidding?!? I'll just bring some Carolina moonshine! Besides, it makes great water treatment!

Fine. But, buying off the website may not result in credit for the room count toward getting free (or reduced rate) meeting rooms.

Most meetings and conventions get free meeting rooms by meeting certain negotiated room-night counts. If minimums are NOT met then the meetings rooms will be charged for.

Hotel room charges could be made cheeper, but the result would be higher convention fees. Take your pick.

Actually, the PO Box was last checked on Thursday, 9/12. As of five minutes ago, the registrar reports that we have 73 paid registrations. I'm happy to report the registrations on a weekly basis if you are interested in them.

The batch of registration packets for the Canadian organizations were lost, so we resent the packets to the Canadian addresses and extended the early bird registration deadline for everyone to October 1 to be fair.

Also, contrary to what was reported in the BAERA newsletter, we do accept checks up until the first day of the convention. The cash or money order was a misprint and we regret any inconvenience that may have caused. (Doesn't seem to have phased anyone since we have received not a single money order ;-)

Please feel free to inquire if you have any questions about the convention or the registration process. Please also check out the link below.

We have already chewed out the hotel for offering a discounted rate that our internet savvy attendees were sure to find. They are willing to give us credit for the webrate rooms, but we will be asking attendees at the registration table where they are staying so we can get full credit.
