SDC engine sounds like the real deal. Not all skills are obsolete. Basic machining practices are the same whether you're turning a handle or pushing a button. Making chips is the goal. In my mind, learning this was is by far the winner.
Warms my heart to see the shop because of my machinist/toolmaker background and career. Been retired 13 years and enjoy seeing these posts.
I agree on the counterbalancing. Maybe Autotire will sell you some tire weights.

I live and work next to the railroad for which I believe that boiler is destined.

Fantastic work as usual Kelly.

As an avid photographer I am always amazed at the professionalism displayed by the SRC during everyday it operates especially with all of your contract work!

In fact, the professionalism displayed at the SRC has driven me to start volunteering down at the W&W. If the job applications weren't flying in so quickly to the SRC I would apply, but I figured I would save you all some paper.
