What would it take to use this car as a cab car with full throttle, bell, brakes etc. pushed by a diesel? I'm guessing it requires running cabling like a standard mu cable the length of all the cars being shoved/pulled, which would be a pretty penny, but it sure would be handy for a tourist train going out a short distance and returning.

I thought it was going to a museum? All that "kitbashing" sounds like tourist railway stuff to me.

PMC and Dennis -

The eventual plan I believe, is to put the car in use as an open window coach. I don't believe there are any plans to control the entire train from the motorman's cab, but am not 100% sure about that. Certainly a horn and bell could probably be controlled from the 3328's cab. One problem is that the cab is currently on the "wrong end" and we don't really have a way to turn the car around at present. But, we could run the train opposite of the way we do it now (push out, pull in), but I'm not involved in operating decisions. The car needs quite a bit of work before we even get to that point.
