It burned diesel fuel. A bit "hotter" than I'd like, but it worked OK if you were careful.

One day we were going back to the storage spot and the fireman lost the fire. Out of habit, I reached over and gave it a quick flip to get a burst of oil to relight off of the hot bricks (Works fine with heavier oil). Well, it lit all right, with a rather loud bang. Blew a big cloud of soot out of the tubes, and scared pretty much everyone. Tom looks over at me and says "Bet you won't do that again..."

Nothing beats the smell of burning Pocahontas in the morning. If only they had Pocahontas coal flavored coffee at Wawa...
