There were another load of Grants from Arts Council England which were detailed yesterday that are totally seperate from the 47 obvious rail related ones given out in the Culture Fund. There were, incidentally, a total of 476 grants to various bodies (including churches, museums etc), in that Culture Fund statement and its attached Exel file....

https://www.heritagefund.org.uk/publica ... -decisions

The Arts Council ones included 14 preserved rail lines/museums, such as the London Transport Museum (£875,000), North Yorkshire Moors Trust (£578,000) right down to the likes of Rocks By Rail in Rutland (£9,057).

Hopefully the need for any further grants should be diminished as things start getting back to "normal" here over the next two months.
The last Lockdown ended in England last Monday and outdoor attractions can reopen from 12th April (which includes Pub beer gardens, but outside service only - you still cant sit in a pub..). Some Preserved lines are resuming operations in the week following that, but the main tranche will open from mid to late May when "indoor" attractions and everything else should be clear to reopen.

Just as a followup... our heritage railway museum (Southern Michigan Railroad Society) just received an award for $15,549.30 out of the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program. It's important for us to help Federal, State, Local and other authorities recognize the value we add to the community as a non-profit educational program, and receiving this grant helps us towards that goal. Thank you Uncle Sam!

Ted_Delphia,

Do you know when your group's application was submitted? I am curious what the submission to response timeframe is.
