Well, this is somewhat good news. Too bad they had already begun ripping into the E-unit before attempting to sell it.

What they ripped into was apparently particle board and Bondo, not original EMD skin.

The E8 has been moved and is being stored in Kimberly, Alabama.

The location is a house moving company. It was a brick works at one time. Notice the curved building to the left in the pic. There was a 40' boxcar alongside that loading dock years age. Not sure if still there.

Also, the baggage car was located few miles South at a towing company yard. I'll check if it's still there.
