I did note 4501 and TVRM's presence in the caption of the main photo in the press release, and am glad to finally see a high-resolution copy of 4501's time at Lucey! So rad.

This project sounds interesting, and I wish them the best, but--

In past experience, and observations of other redevelopment projects, one gets the idea that the industrial activity may not go well with the entertainment and food activity, or at least that's what a lot of people seem to think.

Really, they should, but how often do you get someone squawking about "ugly industrial machinery" in preservation? Oh, they like the big, impressive buildings, but how many like the punch and shear (I think) that's in one of the project illustrations as a backdrop to some bar?

There's a forge in the background, too. Can you imagine using that in front of diners, complete with the sparks and hammering?

Actually, I think it would be cool to see the show. It would likely be better than a lot of stage productions, and it would certainly be different and original!

Actually, maybe not too original!! The Virginia & Truckee had a ball in that now demolished shop in Carson City back in the 19th century, set about the lathes and drills and shaft drives of that facility.

But how many people would be able to visualize that sort of thing today?
