I have some photos of the equipment parked in '72 but can't attach them; it's giving me an error; any ideas?

There is a listing over on the NKPHTS website of preserved equipment, broken out by category. The diner you mentioned is discussed there. It isn't the NKP 131. For the time being, it continues in existence, I believe. It ended up in the Iowa Pacific fleet, when they acquired it from the museum in Galveston.

I believe the diner that ended up with Iowa Pacific is number 125. This was a heavyweight diner that the NKP "modernized". Nice car! Looks like it still might be restorable. Not sure of its current status in the Iowa Pacific situation.

Do you have an email by chance? Even if they can't be shared, it'd help in any way possible. As long as the cars are at Bear Creek in this time, thats what matters.

The NKP Diner at Iowa Pacific is indeed No. 125. She was not at Bear Creek, somehow finding its way to the Oregon Pacific & Eastern alongside the then-acquired Bear Creek Pullmans and maybe one of the Rock Island Capones.
