Dave, yes I have, with a state D.O.T., I left, because I wasn't thriving. I didn't go there to die. Let's not bash public servants though, many of the workers in the trenches give it their all, but the management structures can be deadly to the soul and spirit of the worker.

In thought here, how many museums have a management structure that is inert, and won't support volunteer and/or employee life, much to their detriment?

That's actually kind of what I had in mind when moved to respond to your earlier posting. It can be frustrating to see entrenched institutions decline as they refuse to adapt and evolve.
