There was a discussion some months ago, where a wooden "Jim Crow Combine" was found in Georgia, on a farm, and someone inquired about possibilities to have it saved. I suggested he contact some of the local Black History civic groups, or business leaders in the African American community for financial support. IIRC, he went that route. Does anyone know what became of the car and if it was successfully recovered for restoration?

I'd like to add, while the whole idea of segregation is repugnant in today's society, it remained real in my (our) lifetime(s). It's history, and carrying guilt for it is no longer necessary, as long as we recognize that it happened, it was wrong, and we won't allow it to happen again. If railroad museums help enforce and correctly state the legacy, what a service they perform for our children and our nation.
