Hmm, Still looking for evidence this locomotive was destroyed or scrapped. LS&I #32 is an enduring mystery to me.

Seems these are two old boxcars. https://www.google.com/maps/@30.6303752,-86.4064939,83m/data=!3m1!1e3

Possibly boxcars, but I suspect they are just office trailers. In the satellite image, notice the stairways leading into them. In each case, the stairway on the north end is closer to the side than the stairway on the south end. This matches the image found here (scroll down slightly):

https://www.modspace.com/en/mobile-offices

Additionally, the northernmost trailer appears to be abandoned and rotting apart, showing its roof supports. A steel boxcar isn't likely to look the same.

Looks like an LS&I consolidation to me...

It's LS&I alright. I've heard from an anonymous person via email this engine still exists on the base. I find this claim highly unlikely though.

I would still like to see that photo that showed the engine being blown to bits the Eglin museum once had?

Which Eglin museum? Every museum and library I have contacted is unaware of the photo's existence.

It's like the photo has disappeared...

The only info I have came from a member here who claimed to see such a photo at the base museum.
