I have no idea. Best guess would be someone associated with the car currently.

That list includes a lot of cars used on mainline excursions over the years and I hope they find a good home. Of particular interest are Lookout Mountain and Mardi Gras. Those two cars brought up the markers on virtually every Southern/NS steam excursion.

There's a rumor that Ed Ellis ordered a significant number of correctly-sized (36"?) E-unit wheels to be custom made for his E-unit fleet. If it's true, I hope some or all of those are snapped up by other E-unit owners and not scrapped.

Anyone have any intel on these 2 particular units as to where they ended up? They were spotted at Metro East Industries in East St Louis about a year ago now.

A post by KenBitten in classifieds lists the availability of nine of these cars: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=48893 There still is a former SP&S F-7 there waiting for wheel work I believe, but I'm not sure what else. The post says the nine cars are in poor shape, I would be surprised if anything left there has any glazing at all.
