Took a vacation day from work and helped Scott's crew clean 614 up from the trip. (the weather is supposed to get yucky later this week) Kind of like detailing a car to the 10th power.................. My old muscles are calling me nasty names now.

Pleased to report that 614 is safely ensconsed in the VMT thanks to the outstanding cooperation and assistance of the NS team and Bev Fitzpatrick's crew at the VMT.

She'll now recieve the finishing touches cosmeticlly in preparation for the celebration starting in February.

Please see...www.vmt.org...for more details.

Thanks to everyone who assisted.

Ross, Congrats on the successful 614 move to Virginia.

Thanks, Ross Rowland, President&CEO
Greenbrier Express Company, Inc.

As a sidenote, the owner of the Greenbrier Express Company facebook page has declared that his name is "Jeff" and not Lenny. Having experienced Lenny's multiple online personalities for over ten years, I'm betting that it is actually Lenny who runs the page, as the spelling/grammar errors fit his persona perfectly. Plus, why would Ross lie about this?

I consider Len a friend with a good heart and a passion for railroading that is readily evident when you meet him.

To his credit he has done his level best to move the Camelback project forward at Steamtown and they have made some meaningful progress.

He may have challenges with grammar and punctuation and perhaps some other short comings...but he certainly doesn't lack passion and committment to enjoying this thing called railroading.

I for one am richer to know him as a friend.

Ross,

I have never met Len in person (which is a shame since I live thirty minutes from him), but I agree that he has a great passion for railroading. I've enjoyed his videos and postings for years, appreciate what he's done at Steamtown with the 565, and like his attention to historical topics, but have no idea why he continues to have these fake online personas when it detracts from his purpose. If he'd just identify who he was and be honest, he'd be so much better off. The grammar and punctuation don't bother me, but only serve to help identify him when he's making up new identities....

I have to admit that having your stamp of approval gives him an authenticity boost in my eyes.

Len's heart and passion is in the right place. I'm glad to have him on the team for 565. Without him 565 wouldn't be where it's today. We are working hard on the gal and we have a great year coming up. Watch for updates!

We finished up the "detailing" on 614 for her official debut at VMT on Feb. 10 last Saturday. I made a joking comment to VMT Executive Director Bev Fitzpatrick that everyone in our group of crazy (and politically incorrect) volunteers loved and adopted. Sorry Ross, but from here on out, (refering to ourselves) the Roanoke Chapter NRHS Mechanical Dept. will always think of 614 as the "Polack Express"..................:)

Ross, Thanks for the kind words. She's a beautiful engine, and it was our pleasure to have a chance to work on her. I'll pass your thanks on to the rest of the crew.

I want you to explain this then. I don't know if this is your account Ross or one of Lenny's 582,752,871,948 accounts, but this bothers me. I wanted to bring this up to relate with the Facebook page. It's so hard to tell if it's Len defending himself or if someone defending him.

This is a screenshot copied and pasted from the YT site. I can also link the video here for proof. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8An8jwo7q8

Well said Adam. After dealing with him first hand, in person and on the internet i have no use for his antics. After being impostered personally and knowing many close friends that have, i would NOT trust anything out of his mouth or that he types. Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinions on people but the proof is there that hes up to no good. The effort he has made at steam town N.H.S is a fantastic step forward. I congratulate him and the 565 group on this! Just my two cents..

How did this thread go from a 614 and VMT thread to a "let's attack Len" thread? I only met him once, so I can't say anything bad about him...can we get this thread back on track, please?

With that thought in mind, I just got back from 614's "Debut" party at VMT tonight. There were well over 100 folks there, representing VMT, C&OHS, N&WHS, NRHS, and local leaders. Nice low key mixer. Saturday is "Train Lover's Day"
