I'm fully vaccinated but still masking. I think it's an entirely wise course for me to take. I have aggravating health issues, and considering that NINE fully vaccinated member of the NY Yankees tested positive for COVID about 10 days ago, I do not want to risk even a mild case that could lead to "long-haul" effects. New resistant variants are being generated in places like India, where the virus is totally out of control, and those variants will get here, no matter how hard we try to keep them out. So, until public health experts give us an all-clear, I think continued masking is a small price to pay to remain well.

The interesting thing about these tests is that many are bogus! For example, to see what would happen, i was tested at one location and tested negative, went to another testing site 5 miles down the road and tested positive! Another test sight hour later and now negative! I asked the gal how this could be and she finally admitted the tests are only about 20percent accurate at best and seemed very nervous about what she just admitted to. All this after being FULLY VACCINATED!!

I'm sure that NY Yankees players are not getting the same type of test an average person off the street is.

So what's your point?

That people should continue to take precautions? That the whole thing is a hoax?

LOL...The point is that the tests are not always accurate, and how one could test positive even after being vaccinated, but yet they are not positive...

There are some tests that are more accurate than others, and usually cost more and takes a little longer to get results back. I'm sure that a professional sports team that has big money riding on their personnel staying well, and not spreading the virus around so they would have to suspend play for a week or more uses the most accurate test possible.

At risk of going further off-topic, remember when Elon Musk got tested some months ago? He took 4 (four) separate tests with two of them coming back negative and two positive. Turned out he had the virus.

I remember seeing a comment on another forum comparing this particular situation to a house with four smoke alarms. If two of them are going off there is probably a fire somewhere close by.
