Well, we're already rehashing 1361 for the umpteenth time, why not go for broke?

I seem to recall a detail 5629 could not move because of bearing problems.

Now back to your regular K4 broadcast...

No, it did not have bearing problems.

Let's not. I may have never met Mr. Jensen, but he was one of the greatest railroad preservationists who happened to be put in a bad situation. While people can say it's his fault and Metra's fault, it's a mixture of all that and then some. I can take John Smythe trashing the Conway Scenic over the 501, and I think I get the basic idea behind the 1361's problems, but go to Dick Jensen? Did he not get help get Texas and Pacific in operation for the AFT? Like I said, not entirely his fault, but he was part of the problem regarding his GTW pacific. People could critize Jerry Joe Jacobson over how he takes care of his Canadian mogul, and the Grand Canyon could be trashed over the 4960. Either way, people will always find something to complain about, me included.

Sorry to take this whole thing off topic, but....

Are there any more photos of the engine (or bits of it) in transit? Has it arrived?
