The image URL field is really just a pointer; it only accepts hyperlinks to the location of the image on the Web server. There is no way to upload files directly from your hard drive into an Interchange post. eledbetter@rypn.org |

Since you are using an alias with an anonymous email address, be warned that the URL of the photo can be read by right clicking on the photo with the mouse and scrolling down to properties. For example, I linked a photo of the narrow gauge engines at Central City, CO, I took about twenty years ago. By right clicking on the photo below, the URL in this case can be displayed as http://members.aol.com/ff1044/No71and14.jpg. An astute observer will figure out that the email address ff1044@aol.com goes with this address. Also, as you will note on the right click menu, simple photos can be copied off the FTP server the photo is stored on to a user's hard drive. So you really ought to mark your copy right on the photo with a photo editor prior to posting which I haven't done. Also be careful of spelling and case when typing in your link and the RyPN software already has "http://" at the begining so when copying the link, make sure it isn't in the URL twice.
