Missing mainline steam? Follow the link below to a gallery of Keith Schmidt's excellent photography of Milwaukee Road 261's June 20th, Minneapolis to Milwaukee jaunt. Also included are a couple of photos of the June 22nd, Milwaukee to Chicago run. Big steam, big consist and mainline speeds. What could possibly be better? The only thing I can think of to make it better would be to paint the silver and blue boxcar behind the auxilary tender either black or orange with maroon stripes to match the train. |
