If any of you reading this can assist on the project on days or even evenings please call me as soon as possible, I would like to get you out here. Rimmasch > Ohio Central Steam > 740-622-8118 > jerimmasch@ohiocentral.com > www.ocsteam.com Gentleman, I am going on my 3rd year volunteering in the Ohio Central Volunteer Program and like I said this is not only a FIRST CLASS ORGANIZATION BUT IS RAN BY 1ST CLASS INDIVIDUALS AS WELL. John, Jason, and Scott are three of the nicest guys you ever wanted to meet and bend over backwards to make sure you learn and get something out of each work session. Whether it be safety training, a steam training class, or just taking time to explain something everything is well organized and thought out. I have heard and experienced frustrating volunteer experiences, let me tell you something, Not the norm here guys (or gals). If you dont believe me I drive 200 miles, and another guy drives 6 hours from Michigan to get down there. So if you ever wanted to work on big steam heres your chance, dont pass it by. This is a golden oppurtunity, and one great time. Ryan I will be there on Saturday and am looking forward to running into some new faces. See ya there! |

See > ya there! Ryan hits the nail on the head. I just did my first OC volunteer session a few weeks back, and I was EXTREMELY impressed with everything. OC has a top notch operation going on. Anyone who's considering going, feel free to email me for some suggestions from a newbie. Trust me, they make you feel right at home. You get to meet some "interesting" people, but all are willing to teach you anything you want to know and very accomadating, regardless of your skill level. All in all, I say get out and check out the OC, especially if your of the younger generation like me. Tim B PS... I won't be there for the June sessions cause I'm helping to run the TCA Convention here in Pittsburgh, but with any luck I'll be around come July, so come out and say hello! tjb231@comcast.net |
