I'm a member of the Australian Railway Historical Society, in Canberra and am restoring a 1900-vintage Pullman sleeper. I'm trying to track down a source of pintsch gas 4 arm lamps which were originally fitted, but are long gone. I'm hoping some preservation group in America may have had some reproductions made for their own purposes and that we may be able to get some as well.Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.

My suggestion would be to contact the Strasburg Railroad who may be able to assist you in finding or making replacement fixtures as they have done with many of their 1890's-1900's era passenger cars they use in daily service. If they need copies of blue prints for the fixtures and you dont have any, they may be able to obtain them from the Railroad Museum Of Pennsylvania right across the street from the Strasburg Railroad itself. When I needed lamps made for a restoration rather than Pintsch gas I had oil lamps replicating them made by an Australian lamp maker name of Kevin Holmes in Victoria.
