Yesterday, the Kentucky Railway Museum celebrated its 50th anniversary with a party. Besides the usual cake and ice cream, we had an excellent barbeque dinner and a late evening train ride to Boston, pulled by 152.

Here is a photo of 152 pulling into the station to load for the evening trip. While the KRM is 50 years old, 152 is 99 years old. One of the speakers at the dinner, Charlie Castner, former Public Relations Head for the L & N, stated that "in his wildest dreams" the original KRM founders would never had thought that we would own our own railroad and see 152 and the rest of the collection operate. As our 50th anniversary year continues, I'll keep you all updated.

David,
Do you or anyone else know if the 152 will be operating this July 4th weekend?

Thank You
