Playing an as-yet ancillary, but nevertheless supporting role is the still hoped-for possibility of running a trolley operation on the line. The Flimsies piece from the Aspen Times article: http://www.aspentimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll ... 40029&rs=2 mentions deep within the text that one of the trolleys is still in the Aspen area [whereas I had understood that all of the cars had left Aspen for new homes], and that the owner would like to see it restored and operated. hi_plain@yahoo.com

If you ever drove Hy 82 between Aspen and Glenwood Springs during the morning or evening rush you would see why restoring rail operation would be welcome. It would not only help the traffic congestion it would also help Aspen's parking problem. Jim rrfanjim@charter.net
