Thanks. We interrupt this discussion of bulletin board software to answer this man's restoration question... Unfortunately, there is no easy answer. I have two code numbers for "Pullman Green", Dulux 83-4558 and Duco 254-4558, both of which are obsolete, I'm sure. The problem is that even if we had old mixing formulae, unless the color was reformulated since the heavy metal reduction reformulations of the early seventies, they would no longer be useful. The real question is, who was buying Pullman Green paint after that time? You might try contacting Dupont Performance Coatings directly. If they have indeed had call to reformulate the color, they should be able to give you a current paint code, and/or the current formula so you can source it locally. If they haven't had to re-formulate it, then they may just ask you to submit a sample to match to, which souldn't be a problem, if you have a sample. My last contact with Dupont was about a year ago with: Diane Knapil Sr. Color Specialist / DuPont Performance Coatings LIONVILLE, PA USA If the e-mail doesn't work, do a Google search for DuPont performance Coatings and go in through the front door. Good luck. dstorzek@elnet.com |

Among other things, it contains 40D yellow, which is yellow chromnate (lead chromate). |
