You're right about the car No. It's 209-why I thought it was 212 I don't know (I don't have ready access to the materials at present). The original car was W&A No. 9 and you are correct about the location at Paducah. One other interesting fact is that there is one Meyers locomotive still in private hands- the Yonah. He had built the General and Texas but Wilbur Kurtz insisted that he build the Yonah, which he did after using Kurtz's detailed notes to track down drawings of another Rogers locomotive with the same design. The reason that not many people know of the locomotive is that it has not been in the public eye in many years. I had the privilage of seeing the Yonah back a few years ago, when I was in St. Louis for the purpose of picking up Mr. Meyer's pieces from the 209 and other associated items. The heaviest item that he collected was a four foot section of U rail that was found at the site of the Lacy Hotel. He was an excellent machinist and most definately a die hard Civil War collector.
