Does anyone know if they have had the locomotive out on the main line since the trouble with the rod bearing and will it pull the train to Tobyhanna next weekend?
thank you

On Sunday, Jul 11, the fire was dropped on CN 3254 so the mechanics can cut back on the tires for the trailing truck. apparently the tread was too wide, and was trimmed back. The roundhouse axle jack was used for this operation, and the wheels and fire came back up today. She should be back in yard service definitely on Saturday, and possibly tomorrow (Thursday July 15). The next excursion is on Sunday, July 25, Scranton to Tobyhanna and return.
CP 2317 will go down for its 92 day inspection at the end of this Sunday.
