Maine Eastern (former MEC Rockland Branch) appears to be serious about starting excursion service. Here are their two F40s

This Maine Eastern paint scheme looks almost exactly like what EMD's styling department designed for the first E unit diesels for the Southern Railway in 1939.However Southern had the white paint simplified to the more familar band and stripe before the first locomotive was built.
