Looks like some folks are gonna be there Friday, some Saturday, some riding the Columbus special with 6325,etc.... so... looks like the best way to meet and greet other rypners is like this: Run into each other best as you can Friday and Saturday during the day and we'll make up a plan for that evening on the spot. On Friday, if you're riding the 4 p.m. Morgan Run shop tour train, gather by the engine AFTER it returns to Dennison at 7 p.m. and we'll go from there. (I think most of us will want to see Bennett's train come in, due to arrive between 7 and 8 p.m.) I'll try and bring a crude "rypn" sign if Hume, Bob or Erik will authorize it from the marketing, branding and logo development office. If not, I try for something obvious: Maybe a Shay t-shirt or I'll see if I can dig out my silk bandana neck tie... I betcha it'll be the only one there! (After all, how many of you other guys can leave the NH&I property to haunt the headshops in New Hope, Pa. when you visit?!?) Best, Jim http://nctrans.org Wrinnbo@aol.com |

Best, Jim Jim, Five of us (four #261 crew members) will be in Coshocton on Thursday night, New Philly on Friday night and near Columbus on Saturday and Sunday nights as some or all are riding the Columbus - Dennison and return trip on Sunday. I have a case of Point Special in bottles that I am bringing along from the brewery in Stevens Point, WI, home of stuffed and mounted Soo 4-6-2 #2713. See you on Friday in Dennison, I hope. I'll make sure they are COLD! Don C. http://www.261.com |

Don, All right! Hopefully that Point Special is made with water seeping out of the 2713's corner washout plug! I'll see y'all there. I'm debating bringing along some Carolina Blonde or one of Olde Hickory Tap Room's mini-kegs... and for those who do not consume, there will be Cheerwine... aka, Salisbury Champaign... a locally made cherry coke. (And yes, if you crave this stuff but live outside the delivery zone, holler and I'll bring some extra to take home). Jim http://nctrans.org Wrinnbo@aol.com |

Hello Jim The Scranton detachment of Tim O' and myself will definitly be there. I'm trying to get a tee shirt made up that reads "I am a train dispatcher, if you see me running, try and keep up". We'll see how that goes..... Dave Crosby bing@epix.net |

Jim Y'all guys want the SW Va/Shenandoah Valley contingent to bring any special refreshments? (although I lean towards products from Kentucky, Tenn, and Ireland) Gary GGRAYRKE@MSN.COM |

Wish I could be there in other than spirit, but pulling together a move by truck for next week. Would have run off a batch of Old Valve Oil Stout for the gang. Drink something dark and thick for me. dave irondave@bellsouth.net |

I like the idea of a local refreshment get-together. It's been a long time since Elizabeth Robinson's Sons brewed their beer in Scranton, so I'll do the next best thing and haul over some Pocono Lager from Wilkes-Barre's Lion Brewery. Crosby, don't forget the Genessee! If anyone is travelling from the Boston area, Crosby actually prefers Sam Adams Cherry Wheat or Summer Ale, and he could trade you the Genny. http://www.laurellines.org mustang746@mac.com |
