Link below to article at Steam Railroading Dot Com that states that local couple donated $50,000 toward the roof. In searching for this info, I ran into some minutes from the Stevens Point Board of Public Works that states that contracted for $47,857 worth of sheet metal and painting for the engine in 2001. Why would it be, when sister 2719 can't even find a place to run in its home state? I recall there was some talk of raiding a driver set from the 2713 in Point to replace a cracked driver center on the 2719, but I don't believe it ever happened, and the 2719 team found a different solution to their problem.
