We just wanted to let everyone know that things are progressing well for the Train Festival 2004 coming up in Dennison this weekend. The #1293 was fired up today (Sunday), #6325 will be fired up tommorrow and the #33 early this week. Ross Rowland has been giving the updates for us the past few dates as we have been up to our necks in last minute details and we thank him for that.

There are a few corrections to the last post by Ross, Tickets are still availiable for the one-hour and three-hour trips. We did sell out the three-hour trips two weeks ago and we had to lease some additional cars which opened up some more seats. The last time I checked there were 85 or so tickets left, that was Friday.

For you live steam fans, it was posted a T-1 was going to be there, it is actually a PRR Q2 (4-4-6-4). I was told it will be here running.

We hope to see everyone out this weekend for some coal smoke!

I reread my post after submitting and wanted to clarify one thing. There were 85 tickets left on each of the three-hour trips. There still plenty available for the one-hour trips.

Jason,

Here's good wishes for great weather, smooth operations and healthy crowds. One Q: When does Flagg Coal 75 arrive? Jim

If all goes to plan we hope to be rolling in to town some time Wed. evening. We are hoping to leave the SRI site some time that morning.

Hello

Just wanted to once again commend Jason, John, Ross et all on a fine job of disseminating information. You've done an admirable job under the best of circumstances, but crawling out from under an engine, or going from a meeting right to the computer, thats above and beyond.

Thanks!

P.S., that being said, two more questions:

Will visitors be allowed into the area/depot thursday? I've been planning to arrive from a stint in NY state thursday afternoon and thought it might be a good time to visit the museum before the crowds hit.

Will the hourly trips run east or west out of Dennison?

Thanks again.

Dave, I'm told the Dennison 1 hour trips will go either east or west depending on traffic flow on the railroad... I can't recall if there are passing sidings but I understand these will be run push-pull with 1293 on one end (all OC steam still points west?) and a pair of F9s on the other end. See you there... Friday morning. Jim

Hello Jim

Thanks for the tip, didn't know about the push/pull, makes for better shots than tender first any day.

See you friday.
