British Railways work train, pulled by a 4-4-0. Not too unusual, except the date is 1960... Hard to believe such old engines lasted into the age of tailfins and spacecraft. No wonder they love steam trains > over there. Nice picture - I did my formative train watching about 10 miles up the line but the T9's had all gone by 1962/3 though one is preserved.
