Post subject:  Gene Autry's engine

SP 2-6-0 1629, switching on the SD&AE at San Diego in 1951. How is the reassembly coming? Anyone have photos?

Gene Autry also owned a D&RG K-27 as well as a 16" gauge Pacific built by George Reddington that ran for many years in Griffith Park and was known as the "Melody Ranch Special". Its sister engine ran in Oakland at the Peralta Playground.
