CGR has apparently sold this non-operating 2-8-0 (ex- Lake Superior & Ishpeming) to a group in Texas.

It is going to the City of Frisco, Texas (its new owner) for display.

Going back to the inception of the steam program on Grand Canyon, didn't Grand Canyon purchase 5 of the ex-LS&I 2-8-0s (this being one of them)? If so, is this the start of a motive power shuffle on GC, i.e. possibly selling some more of the 2-8-0s and go in search of other power?

Not neccessarily; #19 was never operable, but served instead as a parts source for the other engines. It has been on display for some time; when I visited back in 1998 or so, it had wooden replicas of the air brake pump and other parts, IIRC.
