Texas & Pacific 610 on display at the Texas State RR, last September. Still looks pretty good following its brief use on the Freedom Train and Southern Ry. specials, nearly three decades ago. Good lesson here. When a locomotive becomes inoperable again, don't dismantle it until you have all the funds to repair it, and keep it under shelter in the meantime.
