From the Park Trains list - fundraising effort by the Riverside & Great Northern 15" gauge minature RR in Wisconsin:

The Riverside & Great Northern Railway is undertaking a $50,000
capital campaign to upgrade our roadbed. Key to this project is the Buy
a Tie program, where our goal is to replace 6,000 wooden railroad ties
with new high-strength plastic ties that have a life span of over 50
years. For $100 donation, your name will be engraved in a tie used in
the roadbed rehabilitation. This program is already showing dividends,
We are beginning to receive and install plastic ties.
