I have some slides, but no way to post them on the net. They were taken on a Columbus-Nelsonville trip in the 70's.

Beyond that I did go down there once in 1987 or 1988 and catch a Santa Claus run with 33 and that footage is in a video we did called "American Steam" Vol 1. The 33 was really quiet as I recall.

Here is the link to a website that has a lot of pics from the Hocking Valley. Don't know about any LS&I pics though.

Try Tom Klinger in Wheatridge, CO. He has a huge collection of B&W negatives and definitely has several LS&I shots. Normally he packages them in groups of prints for sale, but has been known to do special orders for the preservation community.

I got a batch last year which included good roster shots of sister engines 34 and 35 on the LS&I.

There is a beautiful roster in service shot of #33 on the LS&I on page 28 of the new soft cover book "The Buckeye Route: The Ohio Central Story."
Says it came from the Jay Williams Collection. You might email Jason Johnson at OC about where to get a copy of it.

These books, which how Jerry Joe got involved in steam, and how the OC came to be what is today, were being sold at Trainfest, and I think they are still selling them at the Dennison depot as well, for $10. Couple of great shots of volunteers working on her too, as well a nice one of Jerry Ballard, her former owner.

Tom sends out a mailer every month or two but I do not have the current one on hand, with his complete address. He attends various shows and meets in and around his area, perhaps a 400 mile radius. I suspect you could check the ads in the various railroad magazines, I beileve that is how I first contacted him. Or use the web for a search for Tom Klinger in WheatRidge Colorado. There could not be many hits in a phone directory search, of which I believe several sites are out there and available. Sorry I could not give you the exact data, but will try to save the next mailing I get from him.

I am sure others on this Board may have heard of him and might have the address. Any takers?

Bob
