I notice that the OC steam website hasn't been updated in a while (understandable with trainfest and all). Does anyone know if there are any additional excursions planned for this fall that aren't on the website schedule. I seem to recall hearing of an excursion between Dennison and Morgan Run and another with #33 out of Canal Fulton on the I&O. Of course, these could be no more than rumors, so does anyone have any inside info? |

Addendum: Quite a few of the OCSteam trips are sponsored by other organizations and do not appear on OC's web site. For example, Aron RR Club is running a Sugar Creek to Morgan Run shop tour trip in October, planned for doubleheaded steam if such available. Orrville Historical Society ran trips each of the last two weekends, using parts of WLE. August 14th had steam on one leg. Various parties run fall or winter photo specials by leasing OC steam and crews. Those "trips" are not advertised on any web site. Columbus trips are sponsored by Ohio Railway Museum and they have their own web site, and so on. I think OC were too busy with Train Fest this year to keep web site up to date, but plenty of things are going on, probably as much as they can physically handle. peterbowler@adelphia.net |
