So are a lot of people; this engine seems to have vanished. There were even rumors of possible restoration a couple of years ago, rumors that a hydro test had been conducted. But rumors are all anyone seems to have on this engine.

I believe Frank Vopasek, the former steam shop teacher at Bergen Vo-Tech and an engineer on the New Hope & Ivyland, has a part owning interest in the engine along with Joe Supor, the trucker. Supposedly the school owed money on the engine's move and Supor took partial ownership of the engine as payment. I wish they would do something with it, rather than keep it mothballed in a building. One of the rumors I heard a few years ago that it was going to the NH&I but nothing ever happened. Please take it to Whippany and reunite it with sister 4039!

There were several questionable moves made when the locomotive was removed from the Vo-Tech school. Several bills were not paid and no permits for the heavy/high move were done with the Highway/DOT people - it was literally moved during the midnight darkness. I think there is still a "laying low" period being observed to protect the guilty.

Is the rest of the steam collection, including a smaller locomotive, still at Bergen Vo-Tech?

That was quite a collection; it is shame the steam program is no more. The below link is to an Adobe Acrobat document on the ASME website; but appears to be mostly an article from L&RP.
