Does anyone have a list of movies in which former Great Western 2-8-0 75 has appeared?

Thanks for your input.

Now undergoing a rebuild in Heber. Number 75 and the consist owned by Everett Rohrer's GW 75 Railroad Company appeared in over 30 Motion Picture and Television productions. Among them being:

MOVIES
The Professionals (Columbia Pictures 1966 Burt Lancaster & Lee Marvin)
The Devil's Brigade (United Artists 1968 William Holden & Cliff Robertson)
Breakheart Pass (United Artists 1968 Charles Bronson & Jill Ireland)
Heaven's Gate (United Artists 1980 Kris Kristofferson & John Hurt)

TELEVISION
Alias Smith and Jones (1972--Series)
The Manhunter (1974--Series)
Ridin' the Rails (1974 -- Johnny Cash Television Special)
The Disappearance of Aimee (1976 TV Movie Faye Dunaway & Bette Davis)
Centennial (1978 MiniSeries with Brian Keith & Anthony Zerbe)

The above list is generated from Larry Jensen's The Movie Railroads.

Additional listings include:

Cat Ballou (not #75 but some of the rolling stock eventually purchased by Everett)
Life of Poncho Villa
At Eventide
Out of the West
Colorado Yesterday
No Knife
Frisco Kid
Johnson County War
Westward Bound
When Steam was King
The West and You
This is How a Steam Locomotive Works
Then and Now
I Ran a Steam Locomotive
Rocky Mountain News Special
Cheyenne Social Club
As It Was Then
Far and Away
A River Runs Through It (rolling stock no #75)
Geronimo
Neon Bible
Norman Rockwell's Christmas

IMHO, Breakheart Pass shows her off the best. If I remember correctly Cheyenne Social Club just uses her in the background.

Several episodes of "Touched by an Angel" were filmed at Heber and #75 had a role to play.

Hope this is what you needed

Thanks Doc!

I have several reels of 16mm film shot by Everett Roher, including two of his engine operating on excursions out of Denver, lettered Colorado & Southern 75 for some trips and "J. W. Grant 51" for another one. I believe the Grant name was put on for Cat Ballou. Also, in the reel where the engine is lettered for J. W. Grant, the train consist is very strange with a couple of home made open side coaches a la theme park design and a Brill doodlebug plus a caboose being hauled by the engine, which appears to be undergoing tests in a yard more than running an excursion. Eventually, this footage will be in one of our video productions.
