And that's what Railway Preservation is all about! Splendid train! All it needs are some vintage autos: '47 Chevy, Studebaker, woody wagon etc. for a complete timewarp. IRM did an LP album cover many years ago featuring a North Shore train and a 1930 (or thereabouts) Chevy. At OERM we can replicate 1955 Bellflower, CA with PE "Blimp" 418 and a Perris subdivision; looks like a page out of an Interurbans Special. Then there's Bay Area's Rio Vista Jct., with authentic interurban track under wire again. Wait until SN1005 is running again! Just a few months ago we had Santa Fe 3751 steaming to San Bernardino in triumph, to be admired and photographed only a few dozen yards from where she once sat forlorn, a cold relic in a city park.

That photo was the cover for an album put out by the West End Jazz Band (I think they may have had a different name then), which is still around - their website is http://www.westendjazzband.com/home.htm and among their upcoming events is an appearance at IRM on Sunday and Monday of Labor Day weekend. Just a couple of weeks ago, in fact, one of our Chicago streetcars spent the morning filming a video-taped recreation of the scene you mentioned for a music video WEJB is supposedly going to be making (though I don't think you'll see it on MTV).
