Just wonderin'-- does the $250000 include the $70000 cosmetic work or is it in addition to it? Is the rigging and shipping both directions included? And not wishing them ill, but if CHS can't make a go of it, does Jason get an operational loco back to display in the park all at at no charge? I'd be just a grinnin' ear to ear -- if I were Jason. |

74 & tender are at Uhlrich Locomotive in Boulder as I write. There was a grant given about April of this year for $49,000 from CHS for cosmetic resto. plus small sums from other entities to total $70,000. That is guaranteed one way or the other. CHS has made the statement that they think resto will be $250,000. (DREAM ON) CHS has a 10 year lease if it is repairable after 10 years it is cosmeticly restoed & brought back to Boulder CHS pays shipping both ways. 74 new was rated at 145 tons on 4% grade I don't know if anybody has checked to see if it will make the curves or go through the tunnel as contrary to rumor to most peoples knowledge it never ran on this line before. That is it in a nut shell.....Wooly |
