Looks like less than $14,000 projected profits for chosen Georgetown Loop operator Railstar. Scroll down.

Here is my idea for a new reality TV show entitled, "The Railroad Chef".

"Today's menu is called 'Receipe for Disaster". Here are the ingredients that you will need to complete your tasty dish."

Four to five miles of historic mountain railroad
Three derelict, under-sized locomotives
Various and sundry non-operational cars,
One very naive potential operator
13,803 dollars of profit
A dash of intelligence
Liberal amount of arrogance
Equal amount of ignorance

Mix ingredients well, pour into a mountain valley west of Denver and make sure it is only half-baked like the remainder of rest of the CHS.
Allow to age for one year. Serve with a large side order of crow at the
end of the 2005 operating season.

Buried in the text of this story is this statement:

"Trottier's sample budget also includes a management fee equal to 5 percent of gross revenues, according to his group's proposal."

Since the projected gross is 1.67 million, this "management fee" would be $83,500, more than twice the projected profit that has to be split three ways. Pretty slick, if you ask me. Let's see if the CHS goes for it.
