Post subject:  Q 5629

Parked at the old C&S 7th Street roundhouse in Denver, following dead-in-tow movement from Lincoln, where it was used briefly as a stationary boiler. A few days later it was pulled up the Golden Branch and installed with some difficulty at the Colorado RR Museum.

After use as a stationary boiler in Lincoln the rumor was that it was left full of water & froze most likely rendering it impossible to ever be restored. I lived in Lincoln in the fifties & spent hours around the yard/roundhouse /depot as Lincoln was 1 of last steam hotspots on the " Q "...........................Wooly
