Post subject:  The window is removed from an relatively Intact Carbody

On the seller's page, he has a photo of the carbody from which the window came from - and another window from the same car for sale. Could somebody with an e-bay account contact him and ask him if the entire carbody is available for preservation. From the picture on the site, it seems the car is intact enough to be worth investigating. Given the fact that (according to his listing) the car has been stationary since 1938 - it may be worth preserving and interpreting it as an example of how passenger cars were adapted for new uses.

I don't see why you need an eBay account - he provides his home phone number and email address. Good luck!

Post subject:  Strip car for salvage/ reapir of other cars?

Next question --- if the car CANNOT be saved, would he be willing to have a group come through and strip it so that other cars (i.e. Mid-Continent, Connecticut Trolley, other museums with wood cars) could use the pieces in their restoration?
