Joint Line depot on the west side of Colorado Springs, which served the Rock Island's Rocky Mountain Rocket, plus Rio Grande, Santa Fe, Colorado & Southern and Missouri Pacific trains headed southbound. Northbound trains used the Santa Fe depot on the east side of town. Depot still exists as an Italian eatery, and four Santa Fe PA units do also, but not much likelihood they will ever meet again. http://abpr.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi?o ... tation.jpg |
