Numerous enthusiasts visited the DB line along the Mosel River in Germany in the 1970s, which was still mostly steam operated at that time. About midway along the river, the small town of Cochem, still had two roundhouses, just across from the bahnhof.

The line was being electrified when I visited in 1971, but the work was not complete and steam still served in profusion. These photos from the ABPR show the roundhouse area is now a parking lot.
