Hi Jeff, Actually, We aquired the tenders from the 250 and 251. The # 20( 250 ) tender is in service behind the # 19 and the 19's (251) tender is behind #20, awaiting restoration.......Jerry |

"This year, SVRy announced plans to replicate both of these fine locomotives. " Somehow I missed that announcement (and can't find it on the website)-no matter. Who will construct the replicas? Or is the group focused on fundraising first, then selecting a builder second? If that is indeed the case (money first, builder second), would fundraising be more successful if a potential builder (i.e. someone with the infrastructure, experience, etc) were already identified? This group has done a fantastic job since their beginnings. I wish them well! |

| Post subject: | Replica Locos |
John, The announcement was made to our operating crews (which Jeff is a member of) last year. There hasn't been a public announcement of the project on our website as construction may be several years off. SVRR is working with the Strausburg RR shops on the design and construction of the replicas. We hope to proceed with the design phase soon. Thanks for your interest...Jerry |
